This can be the face of postpartum, the 4th trimester and beyond.

Today I wanted to raise awareness about my own journey into mamahood. The hood that can be the best place to be with amazing support and sometimes the one where you feel isolated and not good enough. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It took me months and months (really over a year) to integrate this piece of my own life. I had said to every of my friend that I knew I was a mom yet I didn’t feel like a mom. I was caring & loving my daughter yet my brain & body were numb by the simple word that is “mom” when I heard people telling me I’m a mom. I smiled and inside I said, “but are you really?” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I was out of place it took me a retreat with @brandon.bozarth @cliona_o_hanlon and @dusty_staub to actually experience my daughter childbirth the way it was supposed to happen (and not via emergency c-section). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And it took me extra months (over a year) to heal the womb and the trauma of the actual childbirth working with @niamhyvonnecronin, she guided me into realising how much I was still dealing with it still now over 13months later. How much of in shock I was and the anxiety that it brought me. Even though I thought I was well ahead in my self-improvement I was still in PTSD from the overall experience that the world portrays like the most amazing time in a woman’s life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Let’s raise our voice as woman and mom to empower us and bring awareness of all the form of postpartum
