Pike Flower Crown – Creating Portrait with a twist.
Last year was the a year of many first. I first met Lead make-up artist Ursula that my client rave about !
I also started create fine art and be more creative on what I photograph.
When I met Ursula we clicked together like it was meant to be. I am so thankful and grateful to have her in my team !
She is so beautiful and also had very long black hair that I wanted to photograph !

For this project I decided I wanted to create a Pike flower crown to create Fine Art portraits.
I founded on Youtube a DIY to make the crown.
The goals was to create a golden halo renaissance inspired.
What you need to create this DIY :
A Plastic head band
Wooden Skewer
Gardening sicors
Gold paint
A glue gun – and glue
7 Fake Red Roses buds (I used fresh ones)
and I followed the tutorial to make the crown.
What I wouldn’t recommend : Fresh Roses
I got beautiful fresh red Roses from a high end florist in Cork and thought that they would dry perfectly stuck on this crown. Well, after 1 week I had to throw it away …
if you are looking for longevity with your flower crown. I would suggest to try to find beautiful fake roses that you could stuck on and it will also be less heavy on your head.
